Conversation

I went to the record shop today and overheard a funny conversation between a woman looking at films and the man serving. She was asking about one of the films and the bloke said he didn't really know what it was about but it was something to do with witchcraft. The woman replied 'Ah that's what I was worried about, because she's quite scared of witches. I'll see what else you've got... '. In the end she found a film that she wanted because it was about fairies and whoever she was buying it for would like that. It sort of reminded me of that pirate memory game sketch in Little Britain.

Actually it doesn't look like an amusing conversation at all now I've written it down, mainly because I can't remember half the things that the woman said, but it was vaguely amusing at the time. It would be funny to have a blog made up of overheard conversations, it could be called The Eavesdropper. Although I think maybe I once came across a blog like that, I'm not sure. It probably already exists.

Sounds like it could be a good idea for a group blog, because, unless someone got out ALOT, they wouldn't have enough to write about. And it would only really work if it was funny, I guess, otherwise it could get rather dull.

Yeah I was thinking that it could get a bit strained, 'today I heard someone cough loudly'.
And then I'd have to stand around a lot trying to overhear conversations just so I'd have something to blog. Your idea of a group blog would be a lot better.
That whole blogging by mobile thing would be quite useful for a blog like that, you could just hear the conversation, write it and then send it off.

Overheard conversations are amusing. I overheard a colleague at work on the phone to a customer saying "No, there isn't a war on. Nothing is closed."

Hehe. It reminds me of that bit on Father Ted when Ted asks Dougal why he didn't take Father Jack for a walk at the cliffs, and Dougal says something like 'the cliffs were closed'.

Biscuits, you might be thing of this site. Don't know if there's an equivalent site for Britain, though.

Of course when I said "thing" there, I meant "thinking". Doh.

Hello, that's interesting, that might even be the one I came across. That's if I didn't just completely imagine visiting such a blog in the first place.

Haha I love that conversation on there about a woman being 'long in the tooth'.
