I started a new job today. Its a bit confusing because it's meant to become permanent eventually, only I'm waiting for a reply from the interview I went to yesterday to see whether I can stay there, I really don't want to waste peoples time by having them train me and then I'll leave suddenly. Although I suppose that is sort of already happening. The place I was interviewed at might not even want me anyway. If they interview someone with more experience, and they will, then I suppose it's unlikely that I'll get the job. They did seem to like my portfolio though so maybe if they liked it better than they like someone else's experience then I might be lucky.
The job I'm at now is in a sort of factory crossed with a lab. They make sensors and sampling equipment. I'm not too keen on factory environments really but the people are nice so it's not too bad. I have to make very tiny coils that are so small you can barely see them, and you have to also look at them under a microscope to see if they are right or not, although I'm not very good at any of this yet because it's quite tricky. It hurts my eyes, I think I might have to go and stare at something far away to try and refocus them.

That sounds kinda pointless to me; going to the trouble of training you when they are actively looking for other folks. They're wasting their own time.
No no, they're not looking for other people, it's me who is looking for another job.
I think I should have said I would stick with temporary positions, but then I didn't think that a permanent position would require so much training!
Are they mortal coils?
I hope not, I better make sure I don't shuffle off one.
haha. you already have eyestrain from the computer!
