It's quite cold and dark suddenly, it must be that time of year again. In a way it is quite good now the clocks have gone back because I don't have to get up in the dark anymore. On the other hand, I still have to walk home in the dark but I actually don't mind that. I don't know why but it's fun walking through the Co-Op car park in the dark after having bought a packet of something in the supermarket. A packet of something. I bought some sort of weird flavoured sweets called Rainbow Belts, and yes, they did taste a bit like small leather belts only covered in sugar.
Talking of going home, I have discovered that if I leave work half an hour earlier than usual, I get home nearly an hour earlier, it's amazing.
Well alright, it's not that amazing actually, it's just that if I leave earlier I can get the train that goes all the way home without having to change, but that doesn't sound half as weird. I'd prefer to think I live in a different time zone or something.
People at work seem to be starting some sort of new trend involving wearing scarves indoors. Is this a new thing or is this happening everywhere? I'm starting to feel a bit left out, I might have to get one and do it as well. The thing is I tend to look daft in a lot of things.
I was thinking I could wear the hat that my gran gave me last year, it's cold enough. It's one of those trendy wooly hats from a surf shop. The only thing is it's a bit tight and gradually slides off, ending up just balancing on top of my head and making my hair go static. Being made of wool it is also itchy. Maybe I won't bother with that.
I've got a pumpkin but didn't get round to carving it. I suppose I could still do it, only with something non-Halloweeny. Something autumny. I might do that if I get round to it.
I found an interesting site all about lonely socks. You can submit your own photographs too. I do like socks, they are interesting in the same way that I find hatstands and toilets interesting. Seriously, I think it's the shape, they really are a strange shape when you think about it, like floppy, wooly boomerangs. When they're not being worn they hardly resemble something that would fit on your foot. Also I think you can get away with a lot with a sock. You might not be able to get away with a ridiculously patterned shirt, it would be too much, but a mad coloured sock would be just perfect.
